| Stock: Nicole Mendise – 1st Bryce Volpe – 7th Super-stock: Franklin Ludwig – 5th Masters: Madison Minch – 2nd In addition to the individual competition, a team competition was started last year and a traveling trophy was created. The team competition applies a point system based on the best four place finishes of each race city across all divisions. The city with the best combined overall result wins. With only 4 drivers entered the odds were not in our favor, since many cities had more entries and thus better chances to have 4 drivers place well. However, 4 are all you need if you make them count and our drivers did just that! When the points were tallied Cleveland was 1st, Columbus 2nd, and Lancaster 3rd. After the race everyone was treated to a pig roast award banquet featuring a 250 lb. hog that was slow-roasted at the track all day. Great times and many tall derby stories were shared. Thanks to everyone in Lancaster for hosting a great event. Next year the Buck ‘n Eer is scheduled to move back to its traditional home of Charleston, WV. For anyone who hasn’t figured it out: District 6 is made up of Ohio and West Virginia – the Buckeyes and the Mountaineers. Buck ‘n Eer – get it? |

| Buck ‘n Eer 2011 The Buck ‘n Eer is a race held after the All-American in which the 1st and 2nd place winners and all rally champs from the Region 6 Locals are invited to compete against each other in a double-elimination, lane swap, wheel swap format. This year the race was held in Lancaster, OH. Four of our eligible drivers were able to attend the race; Franklin Ludwig, Nicole Mendise, Madison Minch, and Bryce Volpe. These four drivers traveled to Lancaster and again showed the derby world that Cleveland is a force to be reckoned with. Individual results: (click here) |
